Kia ora Beds24 team
We are a pet-friendly property, but only some of our units allow pets, and we charge a daily pet fee for those units. Currently, Beds24 does not offer a dedicated option for pets in the booking form. We use the upsell feature to add the pet fee, but this causes some issues:
Problems we face:
• Guests can’t filter pet-friendly units: There is no native way for guests to filter for pet-friendly units on the Beds24 booking page. Some guests book non-pet-friendly units because they don’t notice the information provided. (We have ideas for a custom solution, but would prefer this built-in. For example, we have already adjusted the URL to only show our pet-friendly units and hide others; however, there is no easy way to unhide hidden units without adding custom code to our booking page.)
• Guests miss adding the pet fee: Many guests overlook the upsell for the pet fee, so the charge is not added to their booking. This leads to extra admin work for us to update bookings and charge the correct fee. We have already added a Pet Offer with the fee included, but this unnecessarily clutters the offers section and can confuse guests.
Why this matters:
Other major OTAs like Airbnb and VRBO now allow guests to specify if they are bringing pets and show pet-friendly properties and fees directly in the booking process. Having a dedicated “Pets” option in the Beds24 booking form (with per-unit pet-friendliness and daily pricing) would help streamline our process, improve accuracy, and provide a better experience for guests.

This is possible if you have multiple 'properties' then you can a Search criteria that the guest will see in the widget.
It would require you to split your rooms into 2 separate properties in Beds24. I understand this is not ideal, but it is an option.
Then you can use the Multi Property booking page on your website, the guest can select Pet friendly/No Pets, (you select the text) this will then refine the search that your guests can see.
Go to Settings > Booking Engine > Multi Booking Page > Search Criteria and click HELP (?) for the details. Once setup you then assign the Criteria to the property in Property Settings.
