Hi,
I manage a small hotel and i handle both the reservation process and check in sometimes, and sales :)
i have multiple roles as it's common in a small business. Being on the go i frequently switch between phone and desktop.

the new recaptcha authentification is really really annoying when trying to give a quote on the go to go through the recaptcha. i waste around a minute while trying to identify all the pictures :)
is there a way to make it optional?

We understand it can be inconvenient but there is no way to remove it because this is to protect you and your guests from phishing attacks. Booking.com recently warns of up to 900% increase in travel scams and these measures are there to protect you and your guests from more and more sophisticated attacks on accommodation providers.

As part of our ongoing effort to prevent unauthorized access to your Beds24 account we will introduce compulsory 2-factor authentication whenever there is a login attempt from a new device or browser.

In case you log in

*from a new device or browser

*from an Iphone or Ipad

*after cookies are deactivated

*after the browser history was deleted

we send an Email with a special login link to your Beds24 admin Email address from which you can then log in.

IMPORTANT: Login will only be possible by opening this link in the same browser trying to login.

On an Iphone or IPad you might see a screen like this:
https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cZ1rlkV8nJm

Click on the Safari icon at bottom right to open your browser.

Trying to log-in today on an iPad the login hangs on the google reCatpcha - no images displayed at all just a rotating circle - so I cannot log-on. I can't complete the 2 stage authorisation because I cannot submit the log-in without filling in a reCaptcha that is unresponsive. I'm sure the banks don't use google Recaptcha on their log-in screens so why does Beds24 need to do so if it's using 2 stage authorisation?

You can try using a different browser and/or clearing the cookies. This should resolve the issue.

A quick update. i discovered the "additional login" option in preferences/account access. i wasn t aware of the option. this solved my problem. i am now logged in both on pc and phone browser and i am skipping captcha authentification.
