Should I input Beds24 Reference # Into OTA Expedia?

Hi All,

I have imported expedia reservations into my beds24 database and successfully synced beds24 with Expedia. All new expedia reservations are successfully synced with beds24 and auto actions are proceeding correctly. However, the imported old expedia reservations are not synced between expedia and beds24.

When the guest cancels an old reservation, I have to go to beds24 and manually cancel the imported expedia reservation. With new expedia reservations, the guest cancels, expedia sends the updated info to beds24 and beds24 automatically sets the reservation status as cancelled.

If I go to my Expedia Partner Central and input the reference number that was given to my imported old expedia reservation, will that make my old expedia reservation sync with beds24? Or do I have to always go back to beds24 and manually change reservation status to cancelled when an imported old expedia reservation is cancelled by guest? How do I make my old imported expedia reservations sync with beds24? Or is that not possible.

Please note, when I say "old" for old expedia reservations, the guest has not checked in, but the guest made the Expedia reservation prior to me syncing beds24 with Expedia.

Beds24 can only update bookings that have been imported after the connection was made.

Any bookings that were made prior to the connection being made will need to be managed manually.
