possible function to consider for the future:
it would be great if we could generate a customer registration form which rather then being printed can be filled in by the guest at reception (and updates their booking details) on an ipad or something. As long as we can create a new window with the form we should be able to 'print' it to an additional device screen with third party software. if we could choose the fields that we want the customer to be able to confirm/adjust such as name and email we could then have an additional box for the customer to sign via touch pad creating a small image file associated with the booking. removing the need for paperwork at check in and making the whole process faster and more streamlined.
This process could also be applied to check out and showing customers their invoices. meaning once they have agreed and paid we could simply email them a copy of the invoice as a pdf
it seems like most of the functionality for this is already present?
Paperless sign in form plus signature field

Good idea
One of the functions we want to add is a function for guests to be able to log in and manage their booking.
Your idea fits nicely with this, it could be possible to show them the registration form pre-arrival so they could fill it out in advance.
Otherwise it could be opened on arrival with an iPad or similar device like you suggest.

Is this function already available? And if not, I will be also very interested in this. Is there any timeline?markkinchin wrote:Good idea

The function is still planned. I am not sure of a timeline but we hope sometime this year.

Yes please! This would be a great function to have. (thank you for the great functions already.)
This would really be very helpful. Any idea about when we might see this?

This would be a great feature but I imagine it will be a low priority feature for channel managers to implement.
As an alternative try using Zoho forms. They have an android and iphone app. I have created a customised checkin form which takes a few minutes to fill on during check in. It allows a photo to be attached of the guests ID, and in addition a guest signature can also be added at the end. Its essential when taking online card payments as proof that the guest actually stayed. Upon submission you can customise where the form is emailled to. The only additional benefit you would gain from a channel manager implementing this is that some of the form fields would auto populate, and the checkin form can be filed against the reservation although it keeps a log of every form should you need to access them in the future.
