Another dependencies question, it is related to this https://wiki.beds24.com/index.php?title ... as_a_suite and maybe this https://wiki.beds24.com/index.php/Depen ... _inventory.

I have 12 dorm beds in three 4-person rooms. I want to sell the 4-person rooms or the dorm beds individually. For the dorm beds I found a way to update inventory when a 4-person rooms is booked by making dorm beds include bookings from 4-person room.

But how about the other way around? If 1 to 4 dorm beds are booked, a 4-person room needs to drop out of the inventory. If 5-8 dorm beds are booked, the second 4-person room also has to go, etc.

Any smart ideas would be appreciated.

This help page: https://wiki.beds24.com/index.php/Sell_ ... ivate_room explains how to sell a dorm as a private room as well.

Thank you for your answer Annette. Yes that works for one room or 4 beds, but not for three and twelve. Because in your example, it blocks the room from being booked, whereas I need adjusted inventory upon a booking being made.

So for the single beds I now have dependency on 4-person rooms, at least one available. It includes bookings from 4-person rooms. So the copy bookings from 4-person rooms then adjust nicely the inventory of the single beds.

The other way around: I have made 4-person rooms dependent on single beds, at least 4 available. However, I can not tell it to include bookings from single beds, because it will flaw my inventory in 4-person rooms.

You see the issue?

You will need to set this up four times for each of your dorms. You could try to add a virtual dorm with 12 beds to collect the bookings and connect it to the four private rooms but it would probably be easier to move bookings manually to keep private rooms open.
