Auto Actions & Template Variables

Hello,

I am trying to set up an auto action that populates a booking info code every time a booking is made by a guest. The template variable I am trying to use is [BOOKINGIP] so that I can use it for some custom reports (the IP Address does not seem to be available in the list of available columns for custom reporting).

However, when I use the template variable the auto action actually populates with the text "[BOOKINGIP]" rather than the actual IP Address of the booking.

My question is whether or not template variables can be using to populate booking info codes. If they can, please advise as to the appropriate syntax that should be used. If template variables cannot be used to populate booking info codes would it be possible to add IP Address to the list of available columns for custom reporting?

Template variables cannot be used to populate the booking info codes but we will add the Booking IP to the custom reports
