Urgent as it creates chaos in our system: Booking automatically changes into confirmed.

When I open a booking (which has the status new or request) and I edit /close this booking again, the status automatically changes to confirmed.

How to keep the booking status untouched and make them only changeable on already set auto actions?

The status changes when you save the booking. If you want to keep the status "New" make sure you manually set it before saving.

New bookings are auto changed to confirm when you open and save them, new status is not intended to be permanent but you can manually select it before saving if you need to keep it.

Request status stays as Request when you open it, this is not auto changed by opening the booking.
