Pre-arrival emails for last minute bookings

Hi there,

We send out a pre-arrival email 7 days prior to arrival.

I have just realised that if a guest makes a reservation within 7 days of arrival, the automatic email will not be sent.

This has caused us to have a few guests arrive without the necessary instructions for accessing the property.

Is there a way to trigger an automatic email to be sent only if booking is within X days of arrival? Or is there a way to force an automatic email to be sent if the "Booked On" date is less than the date upon which the automatic email will be sent?

If your trigger is set to "check-in" "-7" or less it will not apply to bookings made 7 days before check-in. If you set up an Auto Action with "Trigger Time" set to "Immediate" the Auto Action will send directly after the booking is made.

The emails send within a window period.
The window starts with the trigger rule you set and ends after the trigger window period has elapsed.

In your case, setting the trigger to 7 days before check-in and a trigger window of 7 days means the emails will send 7 days before check-in. Any new bookings made within 7 days of arrival will also get the email shortly after the booking is made because they will be in the 7 day window period.
