Good day. We have just begun to study and tune Beds24.
We want to set up an automatic collection of a security deposit.
What are the algorithms for automatic collection of the security deposit?
It is better that the collection of the security deposit takes place shortly before arrival.
Is it possible for the amount of the security deposit to be simply blocked on the guest's card for the period of arrival? And if necessary, it would be possible to make a payment.

It is possible to setup an Auto Action to 'Mark' a Security Deposit from your guest credit card if you are using STRIPE as your Payment Gateway.

To setup Stripe, go to Payments > Payment Gateways > Stripe and setup your connection.
Go to Guest Management > Auto Actions and create an Auto Action, you can follow this example in the HELP (?) Page

Thank you for the quick response. Now the following questions arose:
How do I create an automatic action for the second capture after 7 days of payment capture?
How is the deposit refunded if it is implemented as a refundable Upsell Item?

You will need to setup another auto action to collect the security deposit again, depending on your business rules, if the reservation is for 14 days and you 'mark' the security deposit on checkin date, then you will need to set the 2nd auto action with Checkin +7 days, to 'mark' it again. Then if you want it again at the end of the stay you can create another auto action with checkin +14 days.

The 'mark/authorisation' will be released automatically after 7 days.

If you have setup an Upsell Item and expect to show the amount collected, then you can create a normal pending payment to 'collect' the security and then after checkout, you will need to 'refund' the amount from the booking 'Stripe button' or within your Stripe dashboard.

You can send an automated email to the guest, XX days before checkin/checkin etc. so they can use the Payment link in the Message tab of the Auto Action.

The Capture=0 in the booking URL indicates that the value will be 'authorised' but not actually collected (no refund)

Hi

I use duve to manage precheckin and security deposit collection. There also chargeautmation to connect with beds24.
I found those app more efficient.

Chargeautomation charges a fee for payment collection.

Beds24 does not charge any fees for payment collection.
