To make a group booking I start with "Add Booking" then choose "Price check". Here there are two fields labelled "Agent" and "Referrer".
I set them both with some text, choose rooms and then "Book selected".
On the next page the "Agent" and "Referrer" fields are empty again. I re-insert the text I want.
I fill in the other details and "Create Booking".
In the booking (group of bookings) I find there is no sign of "Agent" field at all.
Also the "Referrer" field in all the bookings in the group is now empty again!
I have to go through each booking in turn and add the "Referrer" code yet again.
Why does this happen?
Referrer field repeatedly cleared after being set

These fields are there to check the prices for the agent code and/or referrer you enter there. This is why it does not transport.
You can change the "Referrer" after you have clicked "Continue". Setting an "Agent" manually is not possible because the "Agent" only works for online bookings and not for manually added bookings. This help page https://wiki.beds24.com/index.php?title=Category:Agents explains how you can use "Agent" prices.

Ok thanks. We already have and Agent rate and I see now how it can be used here in the Price Check dialog.
What really want to do is set the same Referrer code on all bookings in a group. It doesn't actually have to be Referrer - it could be any parameter which can be acted upon by an Auto action to highlight the bookings in the same colour for example.

When you set up an agent page all booking coming from the agent booking page will automatically have the agent as the "Referrer".
Additionally you could use a the flag function to mark bookings from agents. When you go to SETTINGS-GUEST MANAGEMENT-AUTO ACTIONS and then click on HELP in the top right menu of the page you will open the help page which also has an example on how to "Flag" bookings.

Hi Annette, thanks for your help, but this is not specifically about Agent bookings.
As you see in the title, and can read in my first post here, I'm trying to set some parameter in common when manually creating s group booking.
The "flag" you mentioned is actually what I'm trying to set - but it is not available on the initial group booking page so I need an auto action to set the same flag in the individual bookings.
I thought "referrer" would be the ideal choice. Referrer is available in the group booking page, but unfortunately is not carried forward into the individual bookings.
Instead, I've and to compromise and use another field such as "Surname" which does follow on into the individual bookings so the auto action can then set the flags based on a text match in Surname.
It works but it's not a very "clean" solution.

Both the flag and the referrer can be set after you press "Continue" in the "Details" page of each booking.
Hi Annette,
I understand that. But it is when I click "Continue" that the group booking becomes a large number of separate bookings belonging to the group. I then have to go into each booking in turn to set those flags.
Do you follow my explanation of the problem?

I understand that. If you want to use the referrer you will need to apply this to each part of the group booking.
