Is it possible to create a promotional code (vaucher) generator for the every booking that we have.
So that every reservation has its promotional code. That cod could be than sent to guests as a part of e-mail marketing.

Also after that it should be possible to link the reservations by those codes. If someone refers the code to a friend and that friend than books the accommodation.
In the end we would see which guests promoted us or used the code for their next trip.

Have you thought of something like that?
It would be a great promotional tool.

Why not create a code based on the booking number and have a custom question asking for it on the booking page, this would be easy to use and trace.

We don't have a way to do this with the built in discount voucher codes but it is something we will consider for the future.

I was also thinking of creating voucher codes based on the booking numbers but than I have to enter manually booking numbers as voucher codes.
than I can, I guess, connect bookings on voucher codes entered.
Is it possible to search the bookings by the voucher code?

Also one god Idea! Why not make possible crating voucher code with template variables? That shouldn't be a big problem. Than I could set that the voucher code to [BOOKID] and it would be valid for all the bookings (future and present)

I know this is not really what you are after but there are template variables to create a code from the booking number, you could use [RANDOM8] for example. Some people also use these for door access codes etc.

It is good to know. I will maybe use it for something.

But think about what I said. It would be much easier to manage voucher cods like that.
there wouldn't be need to enter every code individually. Template variables can be used as "formula" to create codes. So every guest could get one based on its reservation. And Than we can decide if we want to give it to the guest or not. We dont have to worry about if the code is listed in the voucher code list - it would always work.
