Just trying to create an environment to reproduce an SSL problem

Image

This embedded image from a non-SSL server should break the padlock on chrome ..... and it does for me.

now, following the link to my booking page should also have a broken padlock

Thanks, opening the forum in chrome and following your instructions I was able to see the broken padlock.

Unfortunately this seems to be a bug in chrome.
Here is the bug report that has been going on for 2 and a half years now.

http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issue ... l?id=24152

The beds24 booking page is secure and all other browsers report it as secure, it's just chrome has this weird bug that hopefully one day will be fixed.

This warning has nothing particular to do with Beds24.
Even if I go to the secure google page in chome after viewing this forum page, I get the ssl warning and broken padlock.

It's a very obscure situation, I can't see it's likely to occur.

You need to be using Chrome, visit a secure site with mixed content then visit a vanilla secure site. The only links we've got for the booking are from a HTTP site so it can't happen unless someone bookmarks the link and even then it's unlikely.

I agree it is unlikely to happen, that's probably why the Chrome code maintainers have relegated it as an unimportant bug.
