I experience a mismatch in the documentations between Beds24 and Chekin. Chekin talks about no need for an API, even the support in the chat. Beds24 explicitly mentions the need for an API key to connect to Chekin. I am still trying to figure out, where the information mismatch occured initially.

The AVS connection within Chekin itself is working. If the own community is not yet available within AVS for the Chekin integration, one can ask AVS for activating it via email ([email protected]).

There has been an upgrade to the Chekin connection.

The new connection requires an API key to map your Beds24 property to Chekin.

If you have an existing account and used it before the upgrade, then please send us a Support ticket with the details so we can provide the API Key for you to upgrade your connection.

I just started with a new trial account, because I want to switch to Beds24 with Chekin. I already contacted the support about the mismatch in their documentation (showing an API screenshot but not having the option in the account). Still waiting for a response since yesterday unfortunately. I also assumed the Beds24 documentation should be correct and most updated version since it explicitly says "since March 2025".

Yes, the upgrade is recent and the Chekin team should be able to provide the API key.

Please raise a support ticket in Beds24 if you have not had a response from them in a couple of days.

​I have asked the IT team for the api key and soon as they provide me with it I will send it your way.

I can confirm Chekin creates and sends an API key upon request. I just received mine and could initialize the House IDs for both of my apartments. Since Chekin is connected with AVS, the workflow

Beds24 > Chekin > AVS

seems to be working.
