booking.com and virtual card

Booking.com introduced the virtual card for payment. This is good for us as it garatnees the payment will be proceed. But there is some caveates:

1) When beds24 import the booking, it record a payment as a virtual card. As we still need to proceed the payment, i loose trak of payment to be charged. Is there any way to change this and to make the balance as not paid and add a tag somewhere to inform it is a virtual card?

2) I charge a security damage deposit the day of check in. With the virtual card I am no longer able to do it. I will try to ask booking how they would manage this. I hope they could add this deposit to the virtual card and make the amount available in case of damages.

What do you think of virtual cards?

You can remove the "payment" by clicking here and saving changes. It changes the balance to unpaid.

Name on the credit card is "Booking.com Agent" so you know it's a virtual card. You can also put something like "Virtual Card" in Notes field, under Summary.

You can charge security deposit from guests, when they arrive. Let us know if you get a reply from booking.com regarding this issue. :)

If you set "Import Channel Collect Payments " = No in Settings > Channel Manager no payment will be imported.

Booking.com reply they cannot charge the deposit over the virtual card and i have to manage myself. I do not meet with the guest for check in and i don't want to manage a commuhnication with guest to get their credit card afterward. to much of management.
