Rates and availability only (one-way)

I suspect the answer to my question is in the word one way but i just wanted to check to ensure i have the right implementation.

My idea situation is for beds24 to manage rates and inventory, and on receipt of a booking.com reservation to get the booking email from booking.com and process as we have always done. With only new direct website bookings processed via beds24.

My question is on a one way rates and inventory setting, if a customer reserves on booking.com - does this automatically take the room out of availability, so i have one less to sell, or do i have to do that manually?

If you have a one way rates and inventory connection with Booking.com Booking.com will not send bookings to Beds24. This means you will need to adjust the availability manually in Beds24 whenever a guests books on Booking.com.

If you want to automate this you need a two way connection. You will then receive a notification on every new booking from Beds24 instead of Booking.com.
