HI, I have connected to Booking.com and now want to use derived pricing. Full occupancy of the apartment is correctly set at 5 persons at the maximum price, and I want to be able to offer a lower rate for 4 person occupancy, at say, 10% less. I asked Booking.com to adjust the settings to allow me to do that, but they tell me that this is something you will do. Is that right?

That is something that Booking.com can do.
Tell them you will send 5 person prices and the discount amount they should deduct for 4 person bookings.
They can set this up for you.

Mmm, -that's what I already asked them, but I'll ask again. Is there another option I can use with the existing set up, or is the only other alternative to get a different ID for each rate?

Alternatively you can ask Booking.com to set up additional rate codes for you. Derived prices are easier to manage though.
