Multiple rates for same room (high/Low season)

Post by quillan » Sat Sep 14, 2013 9:47 am

Thought I would write this up as it is not very clear elswhere.

If you operate a high and low season this is what you do per room.

Set you high rate for the whole year.

Set two more rates, one for the dates previous to your high season and another post high season.

These rates will over ride the high season rate.

Thanks for the clean and clear instruction.
I just want to clarify what the Price Number setting in Rates does.
It is not required for setting high and low season rates and should always be set to one unless you are using the Extra Prices feature on the booking page.
The order of the rates is not important, the system will evaluate them all and offer the guest the best rate found based on the rules you set for each.
.
What the price number does is tells the booking page which price row this rate should be shown on when you are using Extra Prices to display multiple price options per room.
For example you may have your normal price displayed on row one and a special non-refundable rate on row two. You create rates for both of these and use the Price Number and Extra Prices settings to assign each rate to the correct price row.
