Delete payment rule

Why isn't it possible to delete a payment rule?

I was looking at the functionally of the Payments and saw the Payment rule, created one to test it out.
Support now says that it can't be deleted...

It is not possible to delete the payment rule as this will cause issues with bookings/payments/pending payments that have the Rule set.

Open the Payment Rule, change Action = Manual, this will stop the Payment rule from being executed in a booking.
