Set the Maximum Stay to Single Day Activity in Room Setup. Then you will only see the 'Start date' rather than checkin/checkout in your booking page.

You need to setup the Notifications from the owner account of the Property. If you have done this and you still have an issue, then please raise a support ticket so we can check the setup of the sub account.

VRBO will send the credit card details from the guest with the booking. If you have setup Stripe then the details will be automatically sent to Stripe and you can setup Auto Actions to collect the payments from the Guest credit card. You will need to check the wiki page for each channel to ensure you correctly set the inventory = 0, then you can disconnect the listing from the channel, please follow the details in the 'Disconnect' section for each channel.

There is no option to disable users from being able to add a booking when there is no availability, as mentioned before there is the warning that you can override when creating the booking. If you have staff that you do not want to be able to do this, then you could remove the option from their user...
