obligatory upsell items
I use beds24 for some services I sell, it might be useful to have to obligatory upsell item appear on the first booking page. It does appear on the second page. It's not very important and it's highly debatable which is best I think, budget airlines add a few items each time you hit enter :-) It wou...

I was wondering if there had been any requests for this? It's just curiosity, the local tourist office are trying to strong arm us into using it. It's not something we want to do. I've generally assumed no one outside Switzerland has ever heard of it! http://www.touristdatashop.ch/fr/hote/channel-ma...

Re: Auto payment after a booking.com booking
That's rather odd, is it not? A booking arrives from booking.com, you clearly have to process it, put it in the database and so on, you then exercise the API to insert the details into STRIPE. That API returns an error, you do take an action because we see the failure message on the booking. I'm str...

Re: Auto payment after a booking.com booking
OK, just a coincidence of timing. It's working well, we just had our first "bad" booking from booking.com. It's worked correctly and the booking as a message (in beds24) "CARDFAILSTRIPE". Which is fine, but can that trigger an email to us? instead of looking manually? it just marginally improves the...

Re: Auto payment after a booking.com booking
That's working pretty well with STRIPE. The only two things I noticed were that STRIPE doesn't auto-notify when it receives new details which I assume they left as a choice for API implementors. And that functionality seems to depend on API version, initially we didn't see customer email addresses u...

Re: Auto payment after a booking.com booking
Thanks for flagging up the option to save cards to STRIPE. Does that include booking.com? channels etc? And, what's the situation if the card details are marked as invalid by STRIPE? I assume, if booking.com is supported, that I'd be able to go to STRIPE and charge the deposit as per our booking.com...

Re: Auto payment after a booking.com booking
We have recently added a button to the booking DETAIL tab to report an invalid card back to booking.com. If you click it, Booking.com contact the guest requesting them to add a new card to the booking and if there is no response from the guest within a specified time (normally 36 hours) you can can...

Re: Auto payment after a booking.com booking
How will that work with the Chinese cards that require PIN numbers? I am not sure, does Stripe accept them now? I can't really tell, I don't have a Chinese credit card. I can't see how STRIPE can process them any better than our SIX terminal though. I think pretty much every Chinese booking we have...
